Mary Shelley's Frankenstein: Ballet and Story
Mary Shelley's novel has inspired generations of stage and screen adaptations. Its themes of ambition, creation, isolation, and responsibility offer rich material for dance, where choreography, music, and theatrical staging can convey the story without relying on dialogue. This production features Ballet Palm Beach, a South Florida company presenting classical and contemporary ballet for regional audiences.
The October 23 performance is listed at the Kravis Center - Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach. The venue's intimate scale is well suited to a story-led production, bringing the dancers' expressions and movement close to the audience. Specific production details, including the music, running time, and any additional performers, have not been announced in the supplied event information.
West Palm Beach provides a fitting setting for an evening of live performance, with the Kravis Center serving as a cultural destination in the city. Audience members may want to plan their arrival in advance, particularly if combining the performance with dinner or other downtown activities.
